I’m a female therapist who is passionate about providing individual therapy for men. Therapy has long been an accepted space for women, and even though this stigma is evolving, it can still be hard for men to feel comfortable accessing it. I strive to co-create a space for you to explore your experience and work to reach your emotional goals.
You are usually easygoing and calm, but every so often something happens, and you’re not sure why, but you lose it.
You harden, become irritable and distant, and it wreaks havoc on your relationship. It makes you feel bad about yourself.
You can sense that societal expectations have affected you. And as a man, you feel like you must hold it altogether for those around you.
Adding to this experience, you are hard on yourself. Being kind or gentle toward yourself is really difficult (which makes the whole experience even harder).
You know you can be a better version of yourself, and you’re ready to work toward it.
I hope you have also arrived here to become better able to treat yourself with compassion.
